Sign-up opened for Alfa

Just in a few weeks, on January 26 the next edition of indoor rowing competion “Alfa” will take place bringing together more than five hundred participants.

One of the biggest indoor rowing races in the Baltic and Nordic countries, Alfa was founded in the year 1993 just to give some extra input for the Estonian rowers during their off-season preparations. This year’s Race will bring togehter Estonian olympic athletes, local youngsters, para-rowers, veterans, different teams and also many contestants from different foreign countries.

“The Finnish strongman Joel Naukkarinen has informed he will be in the game, as well as Estonia’s best guys like Tõnu Endrekson, Allar Raja and others,” said the Director of the Race, Mihkel Klementsov.

In case of more than 16 participants in one age group or category the heats will be organized. Individuals will race on 1000 meters and for the teams of four there will be half of that distance.
