Viljandi will be hosting international Baltic Cup this weekend

This weekend, September 28 and 29 Viljandi will be hosting international Baltic Cup bringing many of the Baltic sea region countries onto the small Estonian lake.

The annual competition is open for young rowers aged 15 to 17 and offers an excellent opportunity for the youth to taste the international rivalry moving towards next year’s world championship. The grand opening will take place 7 o’clock on Friday afternoon. Saturday will see the classical 2000 meters event starting from the heats from 9 o’clock and with the finals from 2pm. Sunday will see the 500 meter sprinting – the heats from 9am and proceeding with the finals from 11 o’clock. The closing ceremony will be held just after the final races on Sunday – 1pm.
